Terms of Service

Effective Date: August 12, 2026

Welcome to Vavio Sports. By accessing or using vavio.app ("the Service"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service ("Terms"). If you do not agree to these Terms, do not use the Service.

1. Service Description

Vavio Sports is a sports content discovery platform that aggregates publicly available content from YouTube, podcast RSS feeds, and news publisher RSS feeds. We help fans find what top sports talk shows and writers are saying about the teams, players, coaches, events, and storylines they follow.

  • YouTube videos are displayed through YouTube's official embedded player. We do not host, download, or re-distribute video content.
  • Podcast episodes link to original audio URLs provided by podcast publishers through their RSS feeds.
  • News articles link out to the original article on the publisher's website. We show the headline and a short, AI-generated summary; the full article remains on the publisher's site.
  • We are a content discovery and aggregation service, not a content host.

2. Premium Subscriptions

Vavio Sports offers an optional premium subscription. Premium unlocks deeper reads of the content the Service already surfaces — a personalized daily brief, the full version of game stories, rival-fanbase coverage, catch-ups on the players, coaches and events you follow, narrated audio, custom storylines and per-follow alert levels — along with curation tools such as publisher filtering, source starring and saved filter combinations.

A free tier remains available to everyone. Free accounts can follow teams, players, coaches, events and storylines, and can read the feed, the segments inside each show, trending stories, team catch-ups and game stories. Premium expands the depth and breadth of those reads rather than replacing them; the underlying videos, podcasts and articles always remain on their original sources.

  • Pricing and billing. Premium is offered as a monthly or annual auto-renewing subscription. Pricing is shown in the app at the point of purchase and may vary by region and over time. Subscriptions are processed through the Apple App Store, Google Play Store, or, on the web, through our payment processor (RevenueCat and Stripe). We never receive or store your payment card details.
  • Complimentary trial. New accounts currently receive a complimentary period of premium access when onboarding is completed. It is granted by us, requires no payment method, and involves no purchase — so nothing is charged and there is nothing to cancel. When it ends, the account simply returns to the free tier unless you choose to subscribe. This is separate from any introductory offer an app store may attach to a subscription product; if such an offer is ever used, its own terms are shown in the store purchase sheet before you buy.
  • Auto-renewal. Subscriptions renew automatically at the end of each billing period unless cancelled at least 24 hours before the end of the current period. Your account is charged for renewal within 24 hours prior to the end of the current period.
  • Managing and cancelling. You can manage or cancel your subscription at any time through your Apple App Store or Google Play account settings, or from the Subscription page in the app. Cancellation takes effect at the end of the current billing period; you keep premium access until then.
  • Refunds. Purchases made through the App Store or Play Store are subject to the refund policies of Apple or Google, respectively, which control the transaction. Refunds for web purchases are handled in accordance with applicable law.
  • Price changes. We may change subscription pricing. Any price change applies only to future billing periods and, where required, will be communicated to you in advance with the option to cancel.

3. AI-Generated Content Disclaimer

Vavio Sports uses automated systems to analyze content and extract topic segments. The following are generated by AI and should be understood as such:

  • Timestamp segments and topic labels displayed alongside videos and podcasts
  • Short summaries of news articles
  • Team relevance classifications and content tags
  • Short excerpt quotes attributed to specific segments

These AI-detected topics and summaries are provided for convenience and may not perfectly reflect the creator's intent, framing, or the complete content of the original video, podcast, or article. They are not manually created or endorsed by the original content creators or publishers.

4. Content Ownership

All video, podcast, and news content displayed on Vavio Sports belongs to its respective creators, publishers, and rights holders. Vavio Sports does not claim ownership of any third-party content. Our service provides links, embeds, summaries, and metadata to help you discover content — the content itself remains on YouTube, podcast hosting platforms, news publishers' websites, and other original sources.

5. Acceptable Use

You agree not to:

  • Use the Service for any unlawful purpose
  • Attempt to gain unauthorized access to our systems or data
  • Scrape, crawl, or use automated tools to extract data from the Service without permission
  • Interfere with or disrupt the Service or its infrastructure
  • Impersonate any person or entity in connection with the Service
  • Use the Service to distribute spam, malware, or harmful content

6. No Warranty

The Service is provided "as is" and "as available" without warranties of any kind, either express or implied, including but not limited to warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, or non-infringement.

We do not guarantee that:

  • Content displayed is accurate, complete, or up-to-date
  • AI-generated segments and classifications are error-free
  • The Service will be uninterrupted, secure, or free of errors
  • All relevant content from every source will be discovered and displayed

7. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, Vavio Sports and its operators shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or any loss of profits or revenues, whether incurred directly or indirectly, or any loss of data, use, goodwill, or other intangible losses resulting from:

  • Your use of or inability to use the Service
  • Any content obtained from the Service
  • Unauthorized access to or alteration of your data
  • Any third-party content, products, or services accessed through the Service

8. Third-Party Services

Vavio Sports integrates with third-party services including YouTube, podcast platforms, and news publishers. Your use of these services through Vavio Sports is subject to their respective terms. When you follow a link to a publisher's website — including a paywalled publisher — your use of that site is governed by that publisher's own terms and any subscription requirements.

9. DMCA and Copyright

We respect the intellectual property rights of content creators. If you believe that content displayed on Vavio Sports infringes your copyright, please refer to our DMCA Policy for instructions on submitting a takedown request.

10. Termination

We reserve the right to suspend or terminate access to the Service at any time, for any reason, without prior notice. Upon termination, your right to use the Service ceases immediately.

11. Governing Law

These Terms are governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the United States. Any disputes arising from these Terms or the Service will be resolved in accordance with applicable law.

12. Dispute Resolution and Arbitration

Please read this section carefully. It affects your legal rights, including your right to file a lawsuit in court and to participate in a class action.

Except as set out below, you and Vavio Sports agree that any dispute, claim, or controversy arising out of or relating to these Terms or the Service will be resolved by binding individual arbitration, rather than in court. Arbitration will be administered by a recognized arbitration provider under its consumer arbitration rules, and judgment on the award may be entered in any court of competent jurisdiction. The arbitrator, and not any court, has authority to resolve disputes about the interpretation or enforceability of this section.

Class action waiver. You and Vavio Sports each agree to bring claims only in an individual capacity, and not as a plaintiff or class member in any purported class, collective, consolidated, or representative proceeding. The arbitrator may not consolidate more than one person's claims or preside over any form of representative proceeding. If this class action waiver is found unenforceable as to a particular claim, that claim — and only that claim — will proceed in court, and all other claims remain in arbitration.

Exceptions. Either party may bring an individual claim in small claims court, and either party may seek injunctive or equitable relief in court for infringement or misuse of intellectual property rights. Nothing in this section prevents you from reporting a matter to a government agency.

Your right to opt out. You may opt out of this arbitration agreement within 30 days of first accepting these Terms by emailing legal@vavio.app with your account email and a statement that you are opting out. Opting out will not affect any other part of these Terms, and it will not affect your access to the Service.

Some jurisdictions do not permit certain limitations on dispute resolution. Where that is the case, this section applies only to the extent permitted by applicable law.

13. Changes to These Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. Changes will be posted on this page with an updated effective date. Your continued use of the Service after changes constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms.
