Mattingly hire
The Phillies prioritized continuity and familiarity by bringing back Don Mattingly, even though broader roster challenges remain the team's primary hurdle.
Offseason roster plans
Core players like Harper, Schwarber, and Turner are likely to stay, but the team will pursue significant changes across the outfield and potentially the infield.
Bullpen needs
The club will aggressively target left-handed relief help this offseason while looking to refresh their overall bullpen personnel.
Dombrowski's future
Ownership remains fully committed to the current baseball operations vision, making a contract extension for the leadership expected as long as he desires to remain.
