Coach Sitake evaluation
Kalani Sitake maximizes his roster's potential by fostering a culture centered on player well-being and consistent, mistake-free execution.
Offensive challenges
BYU faces a significant offensive hurdle against a physically superior Notre Dame defense that forces opponents to prove they can win without relying solely on the ground game.
Defensive matchup issues
BYU's defense struggles to generate pressure without blitzing heavily, which presents a major vulnerability against Notre Dame's efficient and high-scoring offense.
Power rating debate
BYU mirrors the caliber of opponents like Wisconsin and North Carolina more closely than they do the elite tier occupied by Notre Dame.
Winning scenarios
BYU requires a perfect storm of non-offensive scores and opponent mistakes to secure a win, while Notre Dame relies on steady quarterback play and superior strategic play-calling.
