New pass rusher might break current scheme

Bye week utility

Jacksonville's current mid-season break provides a crucial opportunity to recover from injuries and stabilize their rotation for a long-term push to the postseason.

Trade strategy

Front office management should prioritize long-term team building over desperation moves, reserving premium draft assets for clear, multi-year impact additions.

Defensive scheme fit

Adding a pure interior pass rusher could disrupt the specific defensive roles and scheme balance that Jacksonville currently relies upon.
