Crochet's Status
Garrett Crochet remains a central component of the future rotation despite missing time due to injury.
Rotation Pillars
Peyton Tolley and Ranger Suarez earned guaranteed spots in the starting rotation based on their performance.
Secure Roster Spots
Jake Bennett and Aroldis Chapman are established pieces for the upcoming season, requiring no additional auditioning.
Sonny Gray Return
Re-signing Sonny Gray is desirable but contingent upon a reasonable contract length rather than a competitive bidding war.
Bello's Future
Brayan Bello occupies an uncertain role that makes him a candidate for high-leverage relief work or potential trade compensation.
Whitlock's Role
Exercising the club option on Garrett Whitlock is a clear decision, provided the team commits to using him exclusively in relief.
Rotation Depth
Tanner Houck, Kutter Crawford, and Johan Oviedo must compete in spring training to determine their utility as depth, starters, or relief options.
