Should Notre Dame play aggressive or soft defense?

The defensive coaching is too passive and should adopt a more aggressive approach to match opponent talent.

The defense should move away from passive zone coverage, which is easily exploited by opposing offenses.

The defense struggled because it failed to generate consistent pressure, which is necessary for success.

Defensive failures were the result of poor preparation and schematic adjustments rather than the defensive philosophy.
